Medical Office Information Technology
The Medical Office Information Technology program is five months in length and meets M-F from 8am to 2:30pm for the first four months. The last month of training will be a clinical externship with 8 hour days. The hours worked will vary depending on the facility. We currently have openings for the September 4, 2012, class; however, the waiting list length can change at any time. This Medical Office Information Technology program prepares students to enter health-care facilities, such as hospitals, doctor, dental or chiropractic offices in a variety of positions. Students will be multi-skilled with knowledge of insurance codes, medical billing practices, and medical office administration skills. Students will have a blend of classroom theory, and hands-on computer laboratory training that will enable them to meet the requirements of medical information management.
